HISTORY OF CHARLECOTE VILLAGE HALL
Charlecote Village Hall occupies an attractive 19th century building which was formerly the village school until 1923, when it closed due to falling numbers of children. In 1946 ownership of the premises was conveyed by Sir Henry Fairfax-Lucy to a charitable trust to administer as a parish room for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Charlecote. To this day, our Village Hall hosts many events for residents of Charlecote and the wider community. The Trustees delegate management of the Hall to a Management Committee. Major refurbishment has recently been undertaken, including a new kitchen, storeroom and toilet extension, a new roof and complete redecoration and lighting.
